Doctor Who Corgi Models

While I’m still enjoying my nostalgic revisit to the classic years of Doctor Who, I thought I’d take a few photos using the five cut out  action settings from the back of  the 1975 Weetabix packets and the nicely detailed models from the 2003 anniversary Corgi set I mentioned during one of the Dalek posts.

The five action scenes are the Tardis interior with Tom as the Doctor, although I preferred  his ‘buccaneer’ outfit seen during his middle seasons rather than this purple ensemble seen in his last.

A lone Dalek in a murky swamp. The watery reflective surface is simply a black DVD case. I thought it gave a nice look.

I used the same technique showing the Tardis  in front of an alien city.

This Cyberman from Peter Davison’s era looks as good as the originals used in the series - something made out of  plastic and mass produced from a  mould!

Finally, Davros in a cave. I would have preferred  a Dalek control room but Weetabix didn‘t do one!

Beautiful images Mike! Your Dr. Who run has been a fascinating 'cereal'. Who'd have thought that Weetabix cut-outs could be so stunning. Who collectables are clearly a great hobby. I only have an old ceramic Tardis. I got it when I left a job after 19 years. A colleague had had it on his desk all that time and he gave it me on my last day. I was immensely touched and it now sits on my desk at home!

Yes, excellent photos. I have the Dinky police box, which I think predates the Tardis, if you can predate a time machine?

A black DVD case as a substitute for a murky swamp - such is the power of make-believe! Beautiful pictures Mike!
