After digging through my crate of old cars I came across the Corgi Junior Pininfarina Modulo, a stunningly futuristic car created by Ferrari in 1970. At the time, I barely realised it was actually based on a real life concept car and assumed it was just another fab toy. I recall seeing a larger version of the model in Hobbies toy shop in Liverpool back in the day, possibly made by Polistil. Beautiful styling and almost flat aerodynamic shape.
Having a quick look at the car this morning I came across this neat paper model - now we can all have one!

Gotta say cars usually leave me cold. I don't stop in the street and go, "OMG! A porche three eight seven mark nine with twin electro-delimiters! Take me on the bonnet now!" They are just things for getting from point A to point B without having to put up with the inconvenience of sitting next to strangers.
But i do like veteran cars and concept cars. (two extremes, I suppose). My favourite is still the Carabo (ohhhh, to drive one of those!). Closely followed the Manta or the Astra 1, depending on my mood. But I'm really beginning to like the Modulo.
Thanks for the cut-out, Wote.
Manta and Carabo are lining up for presentation shortly...
"take me on the bonnet!" LOL
You spoiling me now, Wote. Looking forward to those.
Wow! Looks like it's straight from Gerry Anderson's UFO. Matchbox Carabo? Yep, bought one off EvilBay a while ago to replace my long lost one. That also remined me of Straker's car from UFO which was why I had to have it. Love futuristic concept cars.
Wow, that's some car!
Puts me in mind of the Maximum Security Vehicle from Captain Scarlet.
