Since parking up my new SL Task Force 3 I have been on the look out for more toys made by SL. I recently stumbled on this RADAR VEHICLE on Ebay. It would sit great with the Task Force 3 at the Moonbase hanger! Clearly a re-hash of their Mini-Moke, both I'm sure are derived from the Dinky PARA MOKE. I wonder if SL looked around for a few popular established toys and simply cloned them? Anyway I've added the Radar Vehicle to the somewhat sparse SL Checklist. Contributions welcome!

If you look at the box, this is another case of Lone Star Modern Army series being ripped off. The rocket launcher on the box is the same as we have seen on the LP series and on the Modern Army truck. I had one of these jeeps with a searchlight on the back. Have to find the remains of the chassis!
SL have totally knocked off that Lone Star range! It's wierd, Lone Star's initials are LS. SL in reverse! Their dodgy alter-ego, like Spder-Man's venom and Superman's Bizzaro!
That is definitely a nice looking vehicle toy. I've always enjoyed seeing radar dishes on vehicle toys. You see them quite frequently on vintage Japanese SF vehicle kits and toys.
Nice to have you back RP! It's funny how a simple radar can sum up the entire jet age.
